Hypertrophy
Probably the most popular of any of the methods of training is hypertrophy training which simply means training to build muscle. If you want to be more muscular, Louis can help you achieve a much more defined body. This will involve gaining strength over time while learning to train more efficiently.
Endurance Training
Louis covers speed and strength endurance as well as aerobic endurance. Aerobic endurance can be increased through interval training which increases the muscular pump of the heart, or through continuous movement (running or biking), which improves maximal oxygen uptake in the heart.
Weight Reduction
When trying to lose weight, especially fat weight, nothing is more helpful than resistance training coupled with aerobics. Louis will show you the ways to KEEP the fat off in a progressive approach tailored to your level.
Post Rehabilitation
Louis is very experienced in working around injuries including lower back, shoulder, neck, hip and elbow problems.
Sport-specific Training
Louis can show you how to be more powerful and faster in your sport. He can show you how to improve your techniques by strengthening the muscles involved, using weights, floor exercises and speed and agility exercises. Stability and core exercises are the center of sport-specific training.
Stability and Balance Training
This is a method of training Louis always incorporates into workouts because it improves the client's ability to become more efficient at burning calories and build muscle. If the client can become more neuromuscularly efficient by this method of training, then he will be able to use the larger muscles more effectively, recruiting muscle fibers for specific movements. The result: The client gets stronger and expends more calories.
One-on-One Stretching
Lengthening the right muscles enhances ones muscular balance and improves joint integrity. Louis shows you which muscles should be lengthened and then remedies the problem through practicing proper stretching principles.
*It should be noted that Louis has had major success with clients who want to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol through training, not medication.
